Worker Rights and Wellness Initiative

We are part of a coalition of organizations throughout California that share important information regarding workplace protections for hard-to-reach marginalized communities, many of whom are in the Earthlodge community. We believe in Healing Justice and that our community has a right to a trauma-free workplace. Not only are we community members, we are also workers, and we want to share how to remain trauma-free through our workplace rights.

We want everyone to be aware that:

  • You have the right to get sick days from your employer.
  • You have the right to be free of harassment in the workplace based on the protective classes of race, gender, sexual orientation, ability status / ADA, and belief system.
  • You have the ability to remain unharmed at work.
  • If you are harmed in your workplace, you have access to workers compensation.
  • You have the right to be free of retaliation in the workplace.
  • You have the right to be free of discrimination and not to have your wages stolen by your employer.
If you feel you're experiencing any of these, please contact [email protected] so that you can be put in touch with the appropriate state agency who can help you follow up on your claim. Not only are we here for Community Mental, Emotional, and Physical Wellness, we are also here for Workplace Wellness because we bring our full selves to the table at the Earthlodge.
